The Business Builder Breakfast Series
Presenting the Business Builder Breakfast Series
Columbus is nationally recognized as a great place to start a business and it’s especially friendly for startup growth. There is a large and active community of support for startups including education, open-door coaching, and peer groups and mentoring. When I looked around for the same kind of support for established businesses, I didn’t find the same smorgasbord of opportunities.
I wanted to connect with resources that could help those successful startups stabilize onto a path of sustainable, healthy, profitable growth.
Business Builder Breakfasts evolved as a partnership between Sullivan Solutions and State Bank to connect existing Central Ohio small businesses with resources that can help them develop into healthy, profitable long-term revenue generators, employers, tax-payers, and philanthropists within our community. We designed a format to provide awareness and introductory coaching for skills and methodologies that support scale-up and sustainability.
While we will encourage all attendees to share contact information and exchange relevant experiences, Business Builder Breakfasts aren’t intended to be networking events. We don’t expect every event to be of interest to every business owner. After all, no two businesses are the same, and every owner has different skill sets.
There are three events scheduled across three months in our Business Builder Breakfasts Pilot Series.
Cash Flow Analysis: The Key to Decision Making
Our first Breakfast (February 13th, 2019) will address Cash Flow Analysis: The Key to Decision Making.
Presenter Eric Ruscinski of Advanta Consulting has strong finance background with companies like Scott’s and Wendy’s, and he will show us how glean a clearer picture of value creation and risk by using often-ignored information.
7 Steps to SALES Excellence
The second Breakfast in the series (February 27th, 2019) features Brent Long of Long on Life presenting a unique sales perspective for a business’ scaling strategy in the 7 Steps to SALES Excellence. Brent has nearly 30 years of success coaching business owners and sales professionals to reliably meet their sales and business goals.
Alternatives for Funding Your Expansion
Third, in the series (March 27, 2019) is a panel discussion on Alternatives for Funding Your Expansion. David Tedford and Paul Erwin from State Bank will lead our panel to cover traditional commercial lending, SBA loans, and other methods of raising the capital your business may need for optimum growth. Bring your questions!
Our goal is to continue the Business Builder Breakfasts beyond our Pilot series if the interest continues. Attendees at each Breakfast are asked to share topics of interest so that we can coordinate relevant content and presenters.
We welcome any and all feedback!!
